Understanding the Birds

Thanks to my friend Rose (@rrroooosseee on IG) for hosting another delightful art circle to finish out Pisces season and welcome spring. We practiced the surprisingly cathartic technique of blackout poetry.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE BIRDS

Most children

as soon as they are old enough

take birds.

A bundle of self-confidence is appealing.

Whether trilling or seeking

the child looks familiar,

and one day may

startle you

you stop in confusion,

do not fly! A

warm-blooded

child-

earth-bound

will fit the

high mountain.

It will stand up

strongly

persuaded that

even the

Feathers are

beautiful.
