Trusting the Process: The Bloom of Renewal
Collective Reading for the Week of 3.16.25 - 3.22.25
This week’s energy is all about renewal—but true renewal is rarely instantaneous. It unfolds gradually, requiring patience, reflection, and trust in the process.
Mercury began its retrograde journey yesterday, Saturday, urging us to pause and reflect on how we communicate. Mercury retrograde is notorious for technological breakdowns and travel disruptions. It’s also not an ideal time to sign contracts or make major commitments, as hidden details may only come to light once Mercury stations direct again.
We’re also on the other side of Friday’s lunar eclipse in Pisces, a time when the universe can bring dramatic revelations and opportunities meant to align us with our true path.
On Thursday, the Sun enters Aries, ushering in the full energy of spring’s rebirth. This week, we have an interesting card combination, with both cards connected to the theme of renewal.
“Celebrate it
Anticipate it
Yesterday's faded
Nothing can change it
Life's what you make it.”
—Talk Talk, Life’s What You Make It
The Eight of Cups signals a time to begin again. It asks us to release what no longer serves us—whether that means walking away from a stagnant situation, reconsidering long-held beliefs, or shifting our perspective to make progress toward our goals. In its reversed position, there’s resistance to letting go, which aligns with both Venus and Mercury currently in retrograde. Our thoughts and values are in a period of reflection, looking backward rather than moving forward with clarity. However, the recent eclipse may have given you insight into what needs to change for things to improve.
“The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part.”
—Tom Petty, The Waiting
Our Tulip card from the Spring Equinox Oracle mirrors this energy. Tulips must be planted in late fall or early winter in order to bloom in spring. Their rebirth requires foresight and patience. Consider the seeds you planted in November and December—what is now ready to emerge? The timeline for transformation is slow and deliberate, but as spring progresses, momentum will build. Mercury stations direct on April 7, followed by Venus on April 12. Now may not be the time for direct action, but it is a time to observe both internal and external shifts as the eclipse energy works its magic. The solar eclipse in Aries on March 29 will offer a closing chapter to the Aries-Libra cycle.
The arc of renewal this spring is long and unfolds through incremental change. While we may experience flashes of insight, real-world shifts require steady, determined steps. We are transitioning from the Aries-Libra eclipse cycle into the Pisces-Virgo axis. Pisces invites us to trust our intuition, while Virgo asks us to take practical, grounded steps toward our goals.
A final message this week comes from the Animal Affirmation Oracle, reminding us: “You are important because you exist.” Our worth is not defined by action alone. Simply being present, engaging authentically with the world, and getting clear on our values and desires aligns us with our purpose. While eclipses unfold their energetic shifts, we are best served by watching, feeling, and reflecting. Our value is inherent in our existence. We do not need to force action for destiny to unfold—there will be plenty of opportunities in the weeks and months ahead to act on what we’ve learned.
“I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be Heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day.”
—David Bowie, Heroes
Embrace the seasonal changes spring brings, and trust that clarity and action will come in time. Soon, you will be ready to leave behind what you’ve outgrown, to break through the soil with new growth, and to bloom under the sun’s warmth. For now, reflect on your direction, take stock of what you’re ready to release, and appreciate the beauty of being alive to witness this ever-changing world.
Reflection Questions:
What patterns, beliefs, or situations am I holding onto that no longer serve me, and what small steps can I take to release them?
What seeds did I plant in late 2024—whether in relationships, career, or personal growth—that are now beginning to show signs of blooming?
How can I embrace stillness and trust the unfolding process, rather than forcing action before the timing feels right?
